Rhodes Racing & BFGoodrich Tires secure AORC
Victory at Waikerie makes it 15 wins out of 16 races for BFGoodrich Tires.
The BFGoodrich-equipped Rhodes Racing team of Jack Rhodes and David Pullino provisionally claimed their first Australian Off Road Championship (AORC) title over the weekend after winning the Waikerie Riverland Enduro event.
2016 represents the third year in a row that the Rhodes Racing team reigned victorious at the Waikerie Riverland Enduro. The result also saw BFGoodrich retain Championship-winning status in the AORC.
"The team is a bit overwhelmed but we're all just over the moon," Jack Rhodes said after the event. "We work really hard and it hasn't always gone the way we'd like it to but that makes us keep coming back and makes it all worthwhile when you can achieve this."
BFGoodrich has claimed Championship winning status in each of the four seasons it has been official partner of the AORC, having won three titles with Shannon and Ian Rentsch of SR Racing before this year's victory with Rhodes Racing.
The impact of BFGoodrich on the AORC has been significant since becoming the official tyre partner of the event in 2013, with the tyre manufacturer now claiming 15 victories out of the last 16 rounds.
BFGoodrich Tires Australia Managing Director, Cedric Binoit, congratulated the Rhodes Racing team for their Championship win.
"We are proud to have partnered with the Rhodes Racing team to secure their first AORC championship. Jack and David performed outstandingly across the entire series."
"Despite BFGoodrich's recent dominance, we take nothing for granted and our engineers work hard each year to create tyres that deliver teams the ultimate in performance and safety," said Mr Binoit.
Years of development go into the design of all BFGoodrich Tire products, with extensive testing on proving grounds along with the analysis of data gleaned from hundreds of off-road races around the world.
"We look forward to the 2017 season where we hope to extend our dominance of the event," said Mr Binoit.
