Disappointed customer with low mileage

By BEAST58

Comments about Rugged Trail T/A:

Purchased a 2013 Nissan Titan in June 2013; came with new BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A. There's only 24,000 kms on them and they are cracked between the threads and some are losing air. The tires are not used for off-road, only used to travel on the highway to/from cottage. Not sure if they are safe for winter. Tires checked by dealership in April 2015 - FL 5/32, FR 6/32, RL 7/32, RR 7/32 DOT AP1H W921 (4512)

It's not as if there's a choice of tires to replace them. These seem to be the only all-season tires made for a Nissan Titan PRO-4X (R275/70R18 116T).

Terrific tires

Comments about Rugged Trail T/A:

Tires came with my Nissan Frontier Pro-4X Off Road. Have been terrific, 4.4 years and 72,000 klms. Lots of off-road mountain driving on logging and mining roads. Will buy again when needed.

Would not buy again

Comments about Rugged Trail T/A:

Purchased four properly sized tires in 2012 through my Ford dealership for my F350 Super Duty diesel. They were balanced and a wheel alignment was done at installation. The tires were rotated annually. After 30,000 kms the back tires are almost bald and the front tires are almost down to the wear indicators. The truck is only driven on-road spring/summer/fall - no winter driving or constant heavy loads/trailering. Very disappointed and have ordered another brand as replacements.

  • This three-digit number represents the width of the tire in millimeters (mm), measured from sidewall to sidewall. Since this measure is affected by the width of the rim, the measurement is done when the tire is on its intended rim size. <div><img src="/assets/bfg/system/images/contextual-help/R2-width.png" /></div>
  • The aspect ratio is the relationship of a tire's sidewall height to its section width, expressed as a percentage. In this example, the tire sidewall height is approximately 55% of the tire width. The higher the number, the taller the sidewall; the lower the number, the lower the sidewall.<div><img src="/assets/bfg/system/images/contextual-help/R2-aspect.png" /></div>
